Feral Friends was founded in 1998, incorporated in the state of Texas in 1999, and granted 501(c)3 status in 2000.

The group was founded to provide assistance to forgotten cats that are rarely seen or thought of and yet need our help just as much as any creature in need.

Feral Friends is governed by a seven member Board of Directors and is completely run by volunteers.
